Providing personal care to patients.  Assisting registered nurses with basic nursing procedures.  Taking and recording vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure  Assisting with personal care, administering medication, and providing companionship.  Assisting in admission and discharge of patients  Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area. Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.  Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.  Performs terminal/detailed cleaning of the OR rooms by following check list or as instructed by OR personnel.  Performs other duties as assigned.
